Description

There is an old legend that cries of creatures of the sea. When young women are killed by their lovers and their soft bodies thrown into the harsh ocean to hide their crimes, the mother of the sea dares not let them go unpunished.
From their graves they rise, the flesh eaten by little fish replaced by a living tide, and there they sit and sing, sing the names of those who killed them.
And on nights when the moon shines full and the fog rolls onto shore, they stalk ashore and bring their lover to the ocean bed with them. None dare rescue him, his cries fall on sleeping ears like the lap of waves on the shore, and when they wake only a set of wet footprints tell the tale of the man... And of the woman who died and was born by the sea.
